Wednesday was slightly less busy for Team GB in Pyeongchang, with British athletes competing in four events. With the time differences, it can be difficult to keep track of what’s happened throughout the night. Here’s a round-up of how every Team GB athlete did today.
Curling: Women's
Team GB’s women headed into their final round-robin game knowing a win would secure their place in the final four. Eve Muirhead landed an amazing pistol shot in the 9th end, forcing Canada to take just one, allowing Great Britain to score their two in the 10th, securing a 6-5 victory and qualifying for the semi-finals.
Curling: Men's
Great Britain’s men were in a buoyant mood after a big victory yesterday against Norway. They knew that a win against USA in their final group match would qualify them for the semi-finals. Things didn’t go to plan though for Kyle Smith and his team, as they slumped to a heavy 10-4 defeat. They now face a tie-breaker game with Switzerland to make it through into the next stage of the event.
2-Man Bobsleigh: Women's
Team GB’s Mica McNeill and Mica Moore took to the ice for their third and fourth runs to try and secure a top 10 finish. After run three, the British pair were lying 8th. Run four saw them clock a time of 51.19 to end the event in that same position – the highest finish by a female 2-man team.
Snowboarding Big Air: Men's
In the men’s Big Air event, Team GB had three athletes competing for qualification into the final. Jamie Nicholls failed to progress, finishing 11th overall in the first heat. Rowan Coultas was in the same heat but suffered the same fate, making 8th place (missing out on the final by just 0.5 points). It was better fortune for Billy Morgan in the second heat, however, as he took 6th place and did qualify for the finale.
